About Us

Scandinavian Home, founded in 1930, is a non-profit community located in the Edgewood section of Cranston. You will find a caring, dedicated staff and a warm welcome. We offer a full range of services to meet the needs of our residents. Our Chaplaincy Program addresses the spiritual, emotional and religious needs of our residents and their families of all faith traditions.  Family Education and Support Groups are also available.

With an Assisted Living Community and a Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, our residents are able to age in place. Our enclosed walkway allows couples with differing medical needs to remain connected with each other and visit daily.

Since 1930, Scandinavian Home has had a reputation for resident dignity, excellent care and quality service. We believe that our founders would be very proud of us today - proud that we remain driven by an uncompromising insistence on quality in our staff, facilities and care; proud that we retain the warmth and spirit which have been our hallmark for 80 years.

Our name reflects the heritage of its founders but today Scandinavian Home is an inclusive community that welcomes people of all faiths and ethnic origins. Stop by and see why we are a non-profit community home built with care!
