Gamlas Vanner is Swedish for “friends of the elderly.” Membership in the Gamlas Vanner Society is reserved for donors who give $5,000 or more to the Scandinavian Home or have made a provision to bequeath $5,000 or more through their estate plan.

Too often, we are not aware of who our benefactors are until after they pass away. The Gamlas Vanner Society provides a means to honor and thank you during your lifetime for generous gifts given today or promised for the future.

If you wish to become a member of the Society by making a bequest, simply notify us in writing and provide evidence that you have included The Scandinavian Home as a beneficiary in your will or life insurance. You do not need to know the exact amount your gift will eventually be.

The name of each distinguished member of the Gamlas Vanner Society is permanently inscribed on one of the tiles which border the beautiful mural in the entrance to the Home.

We encourage you to consider making your gift to the 75th Anniversary Endowment Campaign at a level that entitles you to membership in the Gamlas Vanner Society. Many members have given gifts as a remembrance of a loved one or in appreciation for the care their family member received. Membership is also a wonderful way to commemorate a special occasion such as a birthday or anniversary. Periodically, a special dinner is held to honor members of the Society. We hope to be able to welcome you into the Gamlas Vanner Society at the next event.
